Genuine 3M™ Cubitron™ 3 1182C 4 1/2" X 7/8" Grade 36+ Fibre Disc delivers unmatched speed and performance in your mild or carbon steel grinding application. 3M Cubitron 3's precision-shaped ceramic triangular grain removes metal faster and lasts longer than previous Cubitron II fibre discs. Unlike most ceramic grinding abrasives, the 3M Cubitron 3 re-engineered grain stays sharp for the life of the disc. Sharper abrasives result in increased speed, reduced heat input and dramatically lower labor costs.
The Cubitron 3 Fibre Disc is ideal for grinding and weld removal on all types of mild and carbon steels. It features grade 36+ (36 grit) abrasive material that removes more metal and stays cooler than competitive wheels. It operates at 13,300 max RPM and is designed to be used with right angle grinders. Cubitron 3 fibre discs come in a resealable foil bag of 25 discs each.
Applications
- Weld Removal
- Heavy Grinding
- Beveling
- Deburring
- RE-ENGINEERED 3M PRECISION-SHAPED GRAIN
Uses Re-Engineered Precision Shaped Grain, a proprietary technology designed with sharp, angular structures that continuously fracture to form sharp points to wear evenly, run cool, and optimize mineral breakdown - A WHOLE NEW CUT LEVEL
Delivers up to 51% faster initial cut rate and up to 61% faster sustained cut rate compared to the 3M™ Cubitron™ II Fibre Disc 982C, 36+ - BUILT TOUGH
A stiff fiber backing and strong resin bond provide durability and tear resistance for heavy grinding applications, such as medium to high-pressure grinding, weld removal, and beveling — including robotic operations - COOL CUTTING
Requires less pressure to use, enabling predictable wear while helping to reduce metal discoloration and the risk of stress cracks on mild or carbon steels - LONG-LASTING
Maintains super-sharp points that cut exceptionally fast along the entire life of the fibre disc across a range of application pressures - STAY PRODUCTIVE
Designed to deliver more parts completed per disc while cutting down on abrasive waste, reducing changeouts or downtime
